The activated silica compound of the Grand Prix 4000 improves the handling at stability limits and reduces rolling resistance. The anti-tear formula prevents tread brittleness while increasing the mileage perfornace. Xirallic colours give your racer a look of elegeance.
The extra special thing about the GP4000, is its puncture protection made of Vectran liquid crystal fibres.
The patendted Vectran Breaker reconciles the conflicting goals of low weight, low rolling resistance and top puncture and cut resistance in a facinating manner. Vectran fluid crystal fibres were feveloped for airbag sustems in the automotive and aerospace industries. The material is extremely tear and cut resistant and is also flexible. It retains these properties even under constant stress - in contrast to aramide.
