Keen to ride through gaps that don't exist?
Then track cycling is for you!
Cycling Auckland is based out of the Manukau Sports Bowl's Velodrome, located just off the Te Irirangi Drive exit off the Southern Motorway. The track season kicks off in October and offers a range of events to suit beginners to pros.

RACING
Racing is on Wednesday and Friday evenings throughout Summer. Sign up for Wednesday racing from 6, races start around 6:30. Sign up for Friday raing from 6.30pm, races start at 7pm. If its too wet Friday night, racing will be postponed to 3pm Sunday
TRAINING
U15/U17 Development Squads are on offer on Saturday mornings from 8:30-12:30am. Please contact Lynn Murphy, Auckland Coaching Co-Ordinator on 09 444 7504 for more information on coaching sessions and requirements.
EXTRA INFORMATION
A velodrome is a bicycle racing track where the fastest events in cycling are held. The tracks are oval shaped with banked turns that allow spectators an incredible view of the speed and colour of the sport. The Manukau track is made out of concrete, is 285.7m (3-1/2 laps per kilometer) around and banked to 42. It was completed in 1989 for the 1990 Commonwealth Games.
